Stef Gerstenberg

Registered Psychologist

Stef is a registered psychologist who brings warmth, compassion and genuine connection to her work with adolescents and adults. She understands that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable. Her priority is to create a safe and comfortable space where clients feel heard, accepted and able to be themselves.

Stef has a special interest in supporting teenagers as they navigate the pressures, changes and emotional challenges of adolescence. She is also passionate about working with adults who have experienced difficult early relationships or attachment trauma, helping them understand how these experiences may continue to shape their emotions, self-worth and relationships today.

Stef works with a wide range of concerns, including:

- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Low mood and depression
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Low self-esteem, shame and self-criticism
- Trauma and attachment-related difficulties
- Relationship and interpersonal concerns
- Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism
- Stress, burnout and life transitions
- Identity and belonging
- Disordered eating and body-image concerns

Stef draws from evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she thoughtfully integrates these therapies to provide support that reflects each client’s unique experiences, needs and goals.
