Mandy McNaught is a Clinical Psychologist with experience working in private practice, the community sector and public and private hospital settings.

Mandy has a particular interest in working with people who have had adverse early life experiences well as adults recently diagnosed with Attentional Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Mandy also has specific training and experience treating young people and adolescents whom have concerns with their weight, shape and body image.

Mandy’s integrative approach to psychotherapy has foundations in her clinical training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She also draws upon Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy principles and strategies for clients whom have difficulties with distress tolerance, strong emotions and also for treatment of anxiety.

Mandy strives to create a safe, comfortable space where people feel listened to and well supported. She is aware Telehealth can feel a little different to face to face sessions however throughout COVID-lockdowns she has come to realise that video sessions can be just as effective and can also have additional benefits for those who are time-poor or where travel is an obstacle to engaging with a therapist.

Face to face sessions

Mandy is currently taking bookings for face to face appointments at Lantern Psychology Centre in Deakin, Canberra.

Telehealth sessions

To engage with Mandy via telehealth is very straight forward, all you just need a computer or phone. She will step you through connecting via Zoom.
