Dr Jo Lane is a clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Australian National University.

 

Jo brings a trauma-informed approach to her work that focuses on safety, trust, choice, collaboration and empowerment, whilst having compassion, humility, flexibility and a good sense of humour.

Jo has collaborated with clients from a wide range of populations, including adolescents and adults. Jo specialises in working with clients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma including first responders and veterans.

Jo uses evidence-based treatment and utilises cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and motivational interviewing. In addition to clinical practice, Jo’s research work has focused on improving quality of life for people living with chronic conditions including age-related macular degeneration and multiple sclerosis.
